Beth Carreno

Beth Carreno

Beth Carreno is the Education Coordinator at Bookworm Gardens, a children’s garden in Sheboygan, Wisconsin based on children’s literature.

Beth graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies and worked for several natural resources agencies in Kansas before becoming the Coordinator of Education Programs for the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE).  At KACEE, she taught formal and non-formal educators to incorporate the environment and out-of-doors into their teaching.

She moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin with her husband and two children in 2008.

She collaborated on the development of a summer camp at the gardens in 2010 and became the Education Coordinator in early 2011.  She is an advocate for hands-on, minds-on inquiry education and considers herself the luckiest girl in the world for growing roots at Bookworm Gardens!
